Santamania Leyenda is a gin made in the Spanish capital, Madrid, a limited edition made by the Urbana distillery, one of the first craft distilleries in Spain and the world. Distilled in Vera, one of the most sophisticated copper stills, but giving the alcohol much more travel in the copper through the use of the fragmentation column, makes the work in the still is extended for about 8 hours, hours in which the plates of the column redestile almost infinitely to achieve a roundness in the alcohol that comes is sublime.
A distillation that stops with a purity of 92%, the base is a magnificent grape alcohol, which is mainly tempranillo and botanicals, all carefully selected for their quality, origin and conservation.
On the nose it has citrus notes, with a hint of spice.
In the mouth it is fresh, with hints of liquorice and a very particular touch of juniper, notes of pepper and coriander but with an aftertaste of red fruits.
