Greenall’s Gin is a gin with a secret recipe, but with a well-known quality. Made in the oldest distillery in England, it uses the same secret recipe that has been passed down through only seven master distillers, a London Dry made by a four distillation process using the traditional Pot-still method, and for over 250 years Greenalls Original has been distilled in Warrington and distributed all over the world. Today, specialist Joanne Moore, one of the few master distillers, is in charge of preserving the secret of Thomas Dakin, its founder, who began distilling his original gin at the age of 25 and founded what would become the oldest gin distillery. In 1860, the Dakin family leased their distillery to Gilbert and John Greenall and it was bought by them ten years later. In 1960 the demand for the gin increased considerably so they moved to a larger site, where the company continued to grow.
With notes of juniper, fine grain, spices and citrus aromas make it a dry and smooth gin.
