BLUE GIN

The history of Blue Gin is linked to the family farm in the north-western Austrian town of Axberg, which has been growing fruit and cereals since 1956… and is the source of the organically farmed raw materials for the production of its spirits.

Another interesting feature of its distillates is the use of pure, uncontaminated spring water from the Muhlviertler Alm, whose softness and low content of calcium, sodium and inorganic minerals make it the perfect water.

Master distiller Hans Reisetbauer, after almost three decades, has built up a distillery that is considered to be the most modern distillery in Austria, made from a type of wheat called ‘Mulan’ that is indigenous to the area, all the botanicals are carefully selected and then distilled in a small 300 litre still, which together with the pure spring water and 27 botanicals, its slow production includes a gentle low temperature distillation.

Very aromatic in general, balanced with citrus and juniper power, but with spicy and floral notes.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 43%.
